European Week of Regions and Cities 2018

Brussels

8 October 2018 - 11 October 2018

The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

Over the years, the event has grown into the key event on EU Regional Policy. It welcomes some 6.000 participants in October each year (local, regional, national and European decision-makers and experts) for more than 100 workshops and debates, exhibitions and networking opportunities.

In 2018, Interreg NWE will participate with the joint stand #madewithinterreg at the exhibition area, together with 10 other Interreg Transnational Programme.

The "e-mental health innovation and transnational implementation platform North West Europe" (eMEN) project will showcase their Moodbooster app at the stand on Tuesday, 9th October, as from 9h. The project aims to address the increased demand for mental health care in Europe. E-mental health technology can play an important role in keeping mental health care services accessible and affordable for all European citizens. This can be done by promoting ‘blended care’ in which face-to-face and online therapy are used. eMEN is a multidisciplinary project with activities in research, product development and piloting, policy and communications. It aims to create a transnational e-mental health platform that will continue to implement and promote e-mental health care. One of its pilots is Moodbuster, an innovative ICT and mobile platform for depression treatment.
