Stories of cooperation for a greener Europe

The NWE Programme has teamed-up with Interact and its Interreg transnational counterparts to produce a series of stories throughout 2021.

The initiative aims at showcasing the active role of Interreg transnational programmes (and their projects) in implementing the EU Green Deal agenda, whilst building back sustainable economies post-Covid19.

A total of 15 joint/partner articles will be produced over the year. The stories are published on Interreg.eu and promoted on Politico.eu.

The Green Deal policy areas covered in each article are:

• Biodiversity
• Building & renovating
• Circular economy
• Clean energy
• Climate action
• Eliminating pollution
• From Farm to Fork
• Sustainable mobility

Interreg NWE projects are playing a strong role in our territory, in all thematic pilars mentioned above. For this campaign, our showcased project stories to are the following:

• FABulous Farmers – covering the thematic pilar “From farm to fork” in partnership with the BalkanMED Programme. Read the story here.
