From 9 till 11 October, Dublin Castle hosted over 500 transport practitioners and researchers from all over Europe and provided them with the opportunity to find presentations on policy issues, best practice and research findings about transport. The annual European Transport Conference covers national and local policy and the implementation of projects at a local level.

The conference was officially opened by Shane Ross (Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport) and Maja Bakran (Deputy Director General for Mobility and Transport) from the European Commission.
