Looking back at 2020
2020 was a good year for going digital. As the pandemic took hold early on, the world had to adjust its plans for the year and find new ways to make progress from a distance. Fortunately for Blockstart, our partners are no strangers to finding digital solutions.
We used this opportunity to put our heads together online and carefully organise a tailored, flexible training programme that can best support businesses and their individual needs. After thoughtful consideration, we identified challenges facing small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in three focus areas: logistics/supply chain, agro-food, and healthcare industries. This allowed us to design courses that will be truly useful to SMEs and help them solve tangible problems, charting a straightforward path to success for Blockstarters joining the programme.
Though we could not launch any in-person training, knowledge sharing was key in 2020. Our partners hosted a series of webinars throughout the year for SMEs in healthcare and logistics to broaden their understanding of blockchain technology and how it could improve their businesses. After extensive planning and outreach, we officially launched the training programme on the 2nd of December.
