Tech must go circular. While demand for devices continues to grow, the link between climate and material use has become stronger but concerns over access to strategic resources remain.
More and more tech companies are currently thinking about the design and life cycle for their products or using their tech to help others cut waste. With new business models and production philosophies, more companies are thinking circular, but it isn’t easy. The move to a circular economy requires a steady flow of high-quality, affordable materials, good recycling infrastructure, supportive policy frameworks and a rethinking of industrial design and business processes.
