Tribu

What is the highlight of your product?

The Tribu familyalbums are there to reconnect you with your family. Create your Tribu, invite your family and work together on your own family album. At the end of every month, we print your album and send it to your grandparents. Tell your monthly story with the Tribu family albums.

Why did you participate in the voucher call?

Tribu was created to reconnect  generations. Participating in this survey is part of our mission. We already knew the power of a family album on grandparents, and had a hunch that it would be helpful for people with dementia too. But we wanted to know for sure !

What is your most important lesson learnt?

We especially take away that the Tribu family album brings recognition to people. That whatever stage the person is at in their dementia, it brings them happiness, it brings back memories and makes them feel safe. Not only for the person suffering from dementia but also for the children and grandchildren it is an ideal way to stay close to their grandma and grandpa and vice versa. Surprisingly, our family album was also a useful tool for the caregivers and even the cleaning lady as a conversation starter, a way to connect with their patient.

Quotes by testers (people with dementia):

“I have had it already for 1 year and I’m super happy with it. I don’t have a
smartphone or tablet, only a PC, but it’s all hard for me to use because I’m a bit
shaky, so this newspaper is the best communication device.”

“She doesn’t speak anymore, but she says ‘nice’ and starts smiling when looking at
the magazine. She holds it in her hands and turns the pages independently which
means a lot in her stage of dementia.”

“The third magazine is coming soon and I’m so looking forward to it. I sometimes
don’t have a lot of patience. It was my birthday this month and now I have to wait until
next month to see the pictures.”
