Kamp C and a selected consortium of seven companies have built the office building - called 't Centrum - in Westerlo (Belgium). This is the first fully circular office building in Flanders. The building has three floors and a total area of 2,400 m². The high degree of circularity of the building is remarkable; it consists of reusable materials and can be completely dismantled and rebuilt elsewhere. Innovative materials, applications, techniques and new business models are used in the building.
Due to the well-considered circular design and the conscious choice for materials, techniques and innovative business models, this building is a catalyst for circular construction in Flanders and beyond. The building is designed according to a modular standardized grid. The consortium wants to use the concept to effectively demonstrate that the building is easy to move and expand.
