On the 2nd and 3rd of September, the CleanMobilEnergy consortium gathered for a Steering Group Meeting in CME Pilot City, Schwäbisch Gmünd (Baden-Württemberg), Germany. Following an opening from Oberbürgermeister Richard Arnold, the Mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd, the CME project partners discussed topics such as a comprehensive project update - including updates from all work packages - as well as the interoperable energy management system (iEMS) procurement & installation.

After an inspiring opening from the Mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd, Mr. Robin Hecker of Stadtwerke Schwäbisch Gmünd held an informative presentation on Schwäbisch Gmünd's Climate Strategy, which provided the international partnership with a comprehensive contextual background on the City Pilot of Schwäbisch Gmünd. Next on the agenda was an overview of project communication, including upcoming CME events and opportunities for project exposure, and a long term effects work package update.
Following day 1 presentations and discussions, the partners were given a site tour of the Mutlanger Heide, the City's 7 Millionen Kilowatt solar park - the second largest solar park in Baden-Württemberg.

Having finished their hands-on tour of the Mutlanger Heide solar park, the partners were introduced to the City's solar-powered trams, which guided them through the City Pilot to highlight the sites of the planned CME charging stations as well as the region's well-known Remstal Garden Show.
The City of Schwäbisch Gmünd also provided the partners with a ride on their innovative solar-powered tram, which took them on a comprehensive City Pilot tour
The second day of the meeting consisted of an and implementation progress, planning & risks of the CME City Pilots. Finally, the entire consortium was given an update on the iEMS procurement & installation and next steps in the CleanMobilEnergy project.
