On 16 September 2021, the first transnational support meeting for the CAN Capitalisation Phase took place online. Transnational support exchanges are online meetings that are planned approximately every 2 months in addition to the biannual Working Group Meetings. They are intended to give the partners the opportunity to exchange and discuss their ongoing activities.
Exchanges of ideas and experiences on addressing SMEs were on top of the discussion especially on how activating/motivating the SMEs and which communication strategies are effective.
Associated partners from the Energieagentur Rheinland-Pfalz reported on their extensive experience on approaching and cooperating with SMEs afterwards. They have made the best experiences by approaching SMEs through partners or existing networks. Among others, they highly recommended to adapt the communication to the sector of activity of the SMEs as well as their specific needs (e.g. bakery, small shops).
