Codex4SMEs expert group with Biobank Graz
On May 17th, 2021, the Interreg NWE project Codex4SMEs invited to an online expert panel with Biobank Graz. Dr. Pablo Zardoya-Laguardia, project manager at Biobank Graz, gave an insight into the work of Biobank Graz and moderated the one-hour question and answer session with experts from Biobank Graz. 14 participants from companies and institutes took the opportunity to ask their questions about the work of the biobanks or the transport of the samples.
Biobanks play a key role in the search for biomarkers. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) developing new biomarkers, obtaining high-quality patient samples is a major challenge due to various hurdles. To simplify this process, the Interreg NWE project Codex4SME gives small and medium-sized companies free access to samples via the Sample Access Service.
