Partner Meeting in Brussels

An exciting project comes to an end. Making geothermal energy from great depths usable - was the focus of DGE-ROLLOUT. At the last partner meeting in Brussels, results and experiences were exchanged. For five years, the focus was on various aspects of deep geothermal energy: geology, geophysics, modeling, and plant technology.

Important questions were addressed once again: How can we accelerate the construction of geothermal plants? What subsidies are needed? How to hedge against risks? A lot of knowledge was generated, still, some questions about the rollout of deep geothermal energy in Europe are open.

The partners from the four countries Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands will stay in contact and want to continue working together. After all, geothermal energy is a valuable source of energy and geology knows no national borders.
