Our energy requirements are increasing. We use more than half of this energy to generate heat, primarily from sources that harm the climate such as gas, coal, or oil. So that CO2 emissions can be limited, we need energy sources that don’t have a detrimental effect on the environment and are readily available. Natural heat at great depths – Deep Geothermal Energy or “DGE” – can play a central role in this. The aim of the DGE-ROLLOUT network is to promote this clean and safe energy technology in northwest Europe. The project's film explains how DGE-ROLLOUT can help decision-makers and investors do just that.
