On 8 April 2019 the project partner DMT GmbH & Co. KG, in cooperation with TÜV NORD AG and the Bundesverband Geothermie e.V. (German Geothermal Energy Association), organised a roundtable discussion on geothermal energy. Under the motto: "What can we learn from the Netherlands?" the participants discussed the German geothermal energy strategy, the EU funding programme INTERREG and the DGE-ROLLOUT project in Berlin. Prior to this they were given an insight into the "Masterplan for Geothermal Energy in The Netherlands" by Timme van Melle (EBN).
The event was attended by several representatives of the parties in the German Bundestag, scientists and representatives from the Federal Association for Geothermal Energy. The aim of the event was to work out proposals together with politicians in order to promote the use of geothermal heat in Germany.
