Implementing Digital Deconstruction in Regions and Markets

The goals of the Parkstad Limburg Region provide a unique opportunity to use the DDC platform as a new tool to activate this implementation plan. The resulting implementation steps and achievements will give blueprints for other regions to copy and follow, according to their local needs. Including the time after the Interreg Digital Deconstruction (DDC) project (final June 2023), since all tools and services produced and financed by Interreg are common goods. In such a way different DDC-goals for the next five years could be reached.

For the DDC-partners and the Parkstad Limburg region these are important goals because this proves the contrary that only 20% of the Interreg assignments do make it after delivery. It is precisely this follow-up of such an important program, which is integrated within the market by using a regional implementation plan.

Given the availability of the DDC-tools, the DDC-platform and the tasks/products within the Navigator and the Business Canvas, the Parkstad Limburg implementation plan will shed a light on these DDC-results and adds those activities that will be needed to execute the implementation plan.

To achieve this, it is important that the market, the architects, contractors and demolition workers, provide their input so that the platform can be used in the best way as a process for a circular built environment in every region. Tasks that will be elaborated in the next Regional Innovation Hub meeting in Heerlen on November 22, leading to a Parkstad Limburg platform for Digital Deconstruction. So that after the DDC-project the tools and services needed for Digital Deconstruction will be incorporated in a new economic sector with several contributing and using stakeholders.
