In the Netherlands, the Energiesprong approach has enabled more and more net zero energy housing retrofits since 2013. Perceiving the method as a chance to scale up ambitious energy renovation in the housing sector in their own countries, market development teams have formed in France, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom. One of the key asset of the Energiesprong approach is the close collaboration between countries. National teams benefit from feedbacks from the Dutch forerunners, and meet all together during international workshops to share their progress and work on the common difficulties they face. This collaboration also applies to market players: In March, French stakeholders (housing associations and solution providers) were invited to meet their Dutch counterparts to share best practices.
