e-mental health meeting of the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA)

On December 10th Dr. Tom van Daele, lecturer applied psychology at Thomas More university of applied science (partner in the eMEN project), gave an interesting presentation about e-mental health technology. This Zoom presentation was organised by the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA) and attended by 500 students and psychologists. Tom’s presentation was based around a narrative of somebody looking for support following a traumatic event (i.e. street robbery). He discussed the use of wearables and EMA (Ecological Momentary Assessment / experience sampling) M-PATH (street view application), Artificial Intelligence (Woebot, which already provided CBT support to over 800.000 people), digital phenotyping (‘mobile DNA’) and ethical issues related to e-mental health. After the presentation their was an interesting Q&A session with the participants, from all over Europe. You can view this meeting, co-sponsored by the eMEN project, via the weblink below.
