Partner city introduction: Issy-les-Moulineaux

Issy-les-Moulineaux, through Issy Média, the semi-public company in charge of communication and innovation for the city, is a pilot partner in the Interreg North-West FCCP Project.

The role of the city is to implement and test in various conditions two different fuel cell cargo pedelecs. In order to make it happen, the city already has a BAYK Bike and will soon welcome its second bike from Urban Mobility. The Bayk Bike is used for the public advertising in the city and the Urban Mobility one will be used by different city departments to ensure deliveries, events logistics …

The two bikes have a storage capacity of approximatively 1,5m3 and a maximum payload of 250kg which allows to carry different types of loads faster than with other means of transport. The autonomy of these bikes is around 100km and will be extended once the hydrogen system will be installed. The refuelling time will also be speeded up with the fuel cell system as it is etimated to take more or less 10 to 15 minutes to fully refuel the system.

For the moment, the Bayk Bike is in use only with electricity but we will soon have the Urban Mobility Bike delivered directly with the hydrogen system installed, so that we will be able to launch our first cargo bike on hydrogen with the second one that will be started just after the modifications to accomodate the system to the bike will be completed.
