One of the biggest and most time-consuming challenges in the project is to integrate the fuel cell technology into the different models of cargo bikes. There is no guarantee that a successful integration of the technology into one of the cargo bikes will lead to an equally successful integration of the technology into the other cargo bikes. Unfortunately, not all cargo bikes of the same brand are built identically either. Each cargo bike therefore undergoes various tests under different conditions.
The pictures show per production tests of the (DLR) Baky Brings fuel cell cargo bike at Unicorn Engineering. The result of the test was that the system runs, only a calibration of the tank pressure transmitter signal has to be adjusted for a correct reading.
The tests take place in all kinds of weather conditions, in the fall they test in the rain as shown here.
