Series Title: SMART H2:
To best open up the offshore wind industry, overcome grid connection costs and grid saturation develop offshore wind farms as complete units. Instead of pumping electricity into the already constrained grid in which energy production already needs to be curtailed develop SMARTH2 offshore windfarms - HYLANDS (H2 Islands or H2 Hubs) where their only purpose is to produce H2 pumped on shore through pipelines or by tankers that offload the H2. The primary goal is to produce GreenH2 and to reduce the use of fossil fuels - and optimise existing gas grids for distribution, transmission and end use.
