Experimental tests are on-going on the laboratory test bench constructed at University of Liege.
The performance of a pump used by Waterways Ireland has been assessed for a broad range of frequency of operation (between 15 Hz and 50 Hz), flow rate and head. It delivers valuable information for calibrating a computational model developed by University of Liege, which will prove useful for extrapolating the pump performance beyond the conditions tested in the lab.
