The greener pumping solutions we are working on in Green WIN will have a positive impact on most of these – the key roles being to help make our water transfers less ‘carbon hungry’ and to improve our flood mitigation and management so these are effective and less impactful on the environment. The important role pumping plays in tackling drought conditions – transferring water to ‘drying’ waterways is a vital operation which will also benefit from our efforts in the project.
