On Monday 6th of May, the staff from the Flemish Land Agency (VLM) involved in GreenWIN presented the project to the general public. Flyers were available and posters were displayed to provided more detailed information about the project and its objectives.
As part of GreenWIN, there was also a focus on the local eco-hydrological study of Mijn Mangelbeek which was commissioned to investigate the current situation and the scope for improvements, assess and report on wider mitigation potential of additional water management solutions.
This presentation was part of the public information event, organised by the Flemish Land Agency (VLM) and the municipality of Heusden-Zolder, to launch the public consultation on the draft land development plan of Mijn Mangelbeek. 100 persons attended this event, where they could have a look at the proposed plan in more detail. During the event, there was time to ask questions and express concerns about the plan to the developers of the VLM. The public consultation will be ongoing until June 4th.
