Rijkswaterstaat is part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and is responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the main infrastructure facilities in the Netherlands. This includes: the main road network, the main waterway network and water systems.
Rijkswaterstaat is also one of the six partners involved in the GrenWIN project, which aim to address excess use and high carbon emissions generated by pumping equipment and systems to keep waterways operational.
Today Rijkswaterstaat presented the project and its objectives to their colleagues from the European and International policy unit. As they are all involved in working on cross-border projects, this allowed to promote the project and hopefully to find links and contacts to other related projects. Great feedback was received!
