The third H2SHIPS Paris workshop took place on October 29th 2021. For the first time it was possible to have this workshop in person. The project partners had the pleasure to welcome the participants on board the Excellence, chartered by Haropa Port for the workshop and the international seminar that followed the same morning.
In this third workshop, H2SHIPS presented the latest developments and intermediate results of the project activities dedicated to Paris. The audience was made up of shipowners, waterway managers, representatives of public authorities in charge of certification and environmental protection, and more. Haropa Port, together with ASSYSTEM and Antea Group, presented the method used for the risk assessments of potential H2 production and distribution at the locations identified along the Seine River. EIFER gave a presentation on the challenges and key aspects of designing a production station dedicated to the waterway transport.
A Q&A session allowed participants to discuss open questions with the H2SHIPS partners and to exchange on the status of hydrogen projects in the Paris region.
It is planned to have a fourth workshop in the same format, before the conclusions of the work carried out specifically for Paris within H2SHIPS are shared with a wider audience, in the first half of 2022.
