The Woonforum (Housing Forum) is the biannual study day for everyone who is professionally involved in social living in Flanders. The day is organised by the Flemish Agency for Social Living (Vlaamse Maatschappij voor Sociaal Wonen), the government agency responsible for social housing in Flanders.
On the 25th of March 2021, an online edition of the event will be held in place of the original conference planned for the March 2020.
Participants can choose from 11 sessions addressing social housing. A seminar focusing specifically on small-scale housing in social housing will be led by the Head of the Housing Department, Tom Raes. During the session, Tom Raes will present the small-scale housing policy of the Province of Flemish Brabant, specifically drawing attention to the H4.0E pilot project in Huldenberg.
The SWaL social housing company is one of the active partners of the Belgian project. They will present some of their small-scale social rental projects as well.
The goal of the session is for participants to learn how the Province of Flemish Brabant works around small-scale living and what the role of social housing companies can be in this.
