Have you registered to the European Week of Regions and Cities yet? We will be there to bring you the latest insights about the HeatNet NWE project.
Energy cities, Intercommunale Leiedal and Codema, in collaboration with UDITE (the European Federation of Chief Executive in Local Government) and Veolia, have been selected by the European Committee of the Regions and the European Commission to organise a workshop which is just one of 150+ sessions in a very diverse programme that is now open for registration until the 12th September.
This workshop named "District heating and cooling: cities going circular for a carbon neutral Europe" will facilitate an exchange of emerging expertise and knowledge on the deployment and modernisation of high efficient district heating networks (DHN). Drawing on existing case studies and emerging initiatives (like the Interreg HeatNet NWE project), experienced representatives from local governments, energy agencies and global companies will share approaches and innovative solutions which enable increased energy efficiency, the integration of renewable and waste energy sources and the use of energy storage options contributing to resource efficiency, job creation and the decarbonisation of the local energy system.
When : Thursday 10th October 2019, from 11.30 to 13.00
Where : SQUARE - Brussels Convention Centre, Room Copper hall, Mont des Arts, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
