Twenty-two exemplary buildings, districts and infrastructures were rewarded by the Construction21 network after nine months of competition – four Grand Prizes, five Prizes, and thirteen special mentions. The Awards ceremony took place on the 4th of November and Mijnwater won the Grand Prize in the Sustainable Infrastructure category (see the press release in Dutch).
Construction21 is a networking platform dedicated to all professionals active in the building and city sectors and interested in sustainability. The Green Solutions Awards is a national and international competition gathering more than 192 candidates from 37 different countries worldwide.
The goal of the competition is to mobilise sustainable players and to showcase existing projects that deserve to be replicated on a large scale, as well as to provide concrete sources of inspiration so that all professionals in the sector can radically change the way they shape buildings, cities and territories.
