The decarbonisation of transport will play a critical role in meeting global climate change goals, and in reducing the damage done to human health and the environment by local air pollution. At the local level, both public and private stakeholders will have to develop innovative approaches for the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles, and alternative fuel infrastructure, in order to reduce these emissions.
This workshop will discuss initiatives implemented or being developed, in European cities and regions, in order to support the uptake of zero emission mobility at the local level. Speakers will consider approaches undertaken for both light and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as cross-cutting issues. The HECTOR project will be presented by one of the speakers. A panel discussion will address how progress could be accelerated.
The event will start with a welcome coffee at 9.30 and will be followed by a networking lunch.
