The HECTOR project (HydrogEn Waste CollecTion Vehicles in NOrth West EuRope) was initiated to demonstrate that fuel cell powered refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) provide an effective solution to reduce emissions from road transport.
HAN Automotive Research, one of the project partners, was responsible for designing and carrying out research on the performance of the trucks in normal operating conditions as well as the social impact for the drivers.
