Innov’action 2023

Open days 2023 by the Chambers of Agriculture Pays de la Loire

Discover solar thermal energy on 3 different types of farms as part of the Innov’action event

16 Breton farms, reflecting the diversity of our agriculture, will open their doors from June 20 to 22, 2023 as part of Innov'Action. This "week" of innovation in agriculture is each year a technical but also friendly highlight that the elected officials and technical teams of the Chambers of Agriculture of Brittany concoct for you. To allow you to prepare your visits over the 3 days, we offer a description of what awaits you in each department.

From 13-15 June 2023, as part of the ‘Innov'action’ farm open days event, the Chamber of Agriculture Pays de la Loire is organising the ‘Solar heating days’. Visit 3 farms with Fengtech solar thermal energy installations, each of the farms have different hot water needs:

13 June 2023 - 14:00-17:00, EARL DE LA HAUTE BROSSE in Maine et Loire. Hot water for heating a post-weaning building for 1200 piglets.

14 June 2023 - 14:00-17:00, SCEA LA BAILLERAIE in Vendée. Hot water for animal feed for calves.

15 June 2023 – 14:00-17:00, GAEC LAIT NORMANDES in Mayenne. Hot water for cleaning on a dairy farm.

Event organised in partnership with ICaRE4Farms.

Demonstrating solar thermal energy in Britanny

As part of the Innov’action event, visit a farm using a sustainable energy source for heating water

On 20 June, from 13h30-17h, if you are nearby, you can drop in to the GAEC FROMONT in the Côtes d’Armor. Mireille et Christian Fromont have installed a next generation Fengtech solar thermal energy system. They use the hot water both for feeding their animals (beef calf farming, 800 places) and also to heat farm buildings. Event organised in partnership with ICaRE4Farms.
