Since January, Boerenbond, our partner from Flanders, have conducted no less than 13 training courses for farmers (across all sectors) in Flanders. In total, 243 farmers participated.
These trainings are about how to become an energy efficient farm and the use of solar thermal energy is part of the solution. The courses explained how solar thermal energy is used on farms to heat water for cleaning, preparing feed and to heat buildings for rearing chickens and piglets.
The farmers are informed of the different types of subsidies that are available for renovation of existing farm buildings and for new construction.
