An innovative camera system is currently being developped that aims to follow-up poultry red mite infestation in barns automatically in relation with birds restleness at night.
In order to identify other issues where the camera technology could be of help, a survey is currently being launched in UK, Belgium and France wto identify which issues currently exist in the laying hen sector, and which of them could be solved with a smart camera monitoring system.
3 workshops (1 by country) will then be organised to :
- provide an overview on the smart camera technology that is being developped
- explore, together , how the technology could be developed further to help solve problems that are being faced in laying hen production these days.
The UK workshop will be held on the 1st december 2020 (videoconference) and the France workshop will be on the 18th of December 2020.
