Final event - Open innovation InP PIC pilot line for Europe

Open innovation 4" InP PIC pilot line for Europe

Integrated photonics is the emerging technology where the manipulation of light takes place on a chip, making the components an order of magnitude cheaper, smaller and more energy-efficient compared to today’s solutions.

The OIP4NWE project has enabled a new PIC pilot line for Europe, funded by INTERREG NWE, including the transition to 4-inch InP wafer manufacturing and innovative backend technologies. The pilot line supports companies and institutions developing new integrated photonic circuits and systems.

Join the online presentation at the end of our project and learn more about the new opportunities we offer to turn your design into real chips. The partners will give you an insight into what we have achieved and show you the possibilities to engage in the future.

Take the opportunity to get first-hand information and make first contacts.

The OIP4NWE final event takes place online at

Thursday, 26th October 2023, 10:00 – 11:00 (CET).

Open discussion

By providing these services to SMEs across Europe, the partners of the OIP4NWE project reduce PIC access barriers and strengthen the competitiveness and innovativeness of European SME sustainably on the global markets by setting up a pilot-line. To further support SMEs in the first experience in the field of photonic integrated circuits, a voucher call has been established.
