A Korean delegation with researchers and recycling companies visited the Remo landfill on April 29, 2019 in order to get informed about the mining of industrial landfill sites.
They were very surprised about the complexity of European policy and the continuous need to take policy and societal issues of landfill mining projects into consideration.
As they were in search for a system that allows them to define the more profitable landfill mining projects, the RAWFILL methodology including the Enhanced Landfill Inventory Framework, the decision support tool (in two steps) and the use of geophysical methods was presented.
This was very interesting for them, so we hope that soon also Korea will use our methodology.
