On 30-31 May 2022, the ValuSect General Assembly 2022 took place in Wädenswil, Switzerland organised by our partner Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
The objective of our annual General Assembly is to discuss and brainstorm on the past months’ activities, and how to improve our impact during the next months.
In 2021, our project launched 2 vouchers calls, helping insects for food SMEs with 870.000€ worth of services provided by our consortium.
With a third call ongoing, it was time to draw conclusions from the previous calls and the past experiences to improve our selection and implementation process.
Challenges in communication with SMEs, Brexit and the pandemic did not facilitate our work but through patience and hard work, we were able to start assisting 35 SMEs in improving their insect for food business!
On the research side of the project, production and processing of insect for food have been analysed and scenarios have been tested. This will continue through the services offered to some vouchers’ recipients, therefore bridging research and the practical side of business.
