ACCELERATE THE INTERNATIONALISATION OF YOUR LIFE SCIENCES INNOVATIONS


Project Summary

Boost4Health provides support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who wish to explore their international growth potential. For instance: expand their international network, find expertise abroad or validate products in another market.

To grow sustainable new business, innovative NWE life science SMEs need to focus on international markets, but need support with:

  • Knowledge on internationalisation
  • The big differences in health care systems, cultures, re-imbursements etc. between countries
  • Different regulations of product validation

Leading life science SME support organisations with strong business networks, are addressing this. The transnational support programme Boost4Health helps NWE SMEs grow internationally by bringing their life science innovations to European markets.

Boost4Health Coaching workshop in Rennes, France: “How to be successful internationally”?

On Friday 20th April, ID2Santé (France), organized a workshop bringing together 10 Breton SMEs operating in the health sector. The main objectives were to give advice on international business development and to present the Boost4Health project. The opening presentations were provided by two coaches specialised in international development, who shared some tools and working methods. SMEs also had the opportunity to discuss specific topics and to benefit from one-to-one meetings with the coaches. Attending SMEs were also invited to apply for in-depth individual coaching and to Boost4Health vouchers to forge collaborative partnerships with expert service providers in North West Europe. Travel voucher triggered international strategy

With the support of Boost4Health partner Kent County Council and a travel voucher Adris Technologies Ltd. visited Medica in Düsseldorf last November to showcase their brands PulseGuard and Alert-iT. The contacts and meetings that resulted from Medica can be directly linked to the root cause of the strategic changes Adris made since then. Allowing them to achieve significant growth and market penetration into new areas of Europe, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands. Boost4Health at BIO-Europe Berlin

At BIO-Europe in Berlin from 6 to 8 November Boost4Health partner Atlanpole Biotherapies hosted a matchmaking event at their booth. BIO-Europe is the pre-eminent partnering conference for the life sciences, bringing together international decision makers from the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and financial sectors, offering networking opportunities, workshop and panel participation, a high profile exhibition, and private, pre scheduled one-to-one meetings.
