After-work Event for SMEs in Liège - Reduction of Energy Bills through Sustainable Transition in SMEs
Following the launch of the new web platform “Entreprendre durable”, the City of Liège organised an after-work information event for small business owners on November 16, 2022. The event informed the participants about solutions to the current increase in energy bills and presented local options towards a more sustainable economy. After an introduction of the platform “Entreprendre durable” (more info here), local stakeholders talked about opportunities for the development of low carbon strategies, circular economy and the related existing financings (so called “easy green loans”). An engaged local enterprise, Kameo Bikes, testified on its activities and experiences with greens loans. These loans helped the enterprise to finance its bike stock in the past 3 years. A networking session and get-together closed the event. It gathered 37 SMEs in the attractive historical “Grand-Poste” building, which was recently retrofitted as a co-working space for start-ups and young enterprises.
This event is part of a wider matchmaking campaign for SMEs with several events planned in the next months.
