Belgian eMEN partners at 4th plenary meeting of the European Health Parliament

Following their participation at the 3rd plenary meeting of the European Health Parliament, the Belgian partners were re-invited to the 4th and final plenary meeting at the European Parliament. The aim was to discuss the policy recommendations concerning mental health, made by the Committee on Disease Prevention & Management. We were very pleased to see several topics explicitly focused on the need for an increased uptake of digital tools, the promotion of online content and the creation of quality (HTA) standards for e-mental health apps. The session was hosted by Bénédicte Faure (EHP, Chair of the Committee) and brought together Frédéric Destrebecq (Executive Director at European Brain Council), Karim Berkouk, (European Commission Deputy Head of Unit on non Communicable Disease and Challenge of Healthy Ageing) and Tom Van Daele (Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, on behalf of the eMEN project).

The recommendations on mental health are summarized in a YouTube video and are also available as a report. The full recommendations of the different committees can also be download as a general policy report.
