Calling all EPC contracters!
An initial design for integrated storage and an Energy Management System (EMS) which is to be developed for EMEC’s hydrogen production site on Eday as part of the Integrating Tidal Energy into the European Grid (ITEG) has been prepared.
EMEC now wishes to engage with an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor to validate this design and manage the project through the detailed design phase, to construction and commissioning.
The tender is inviting companies to provide a design and build solution across five elements of the EPC contract:
- Energy management System
- Electrical upgrade (enabling the connection of a new ARVEA electrolyser into the existing system)
- Civil works required for the acceptance of the new 500kW AREVA electrolyser
- Pipe work compression and Storage Integration review of the site and a detailed design solution to be provided
- Water and Treatment is effectively managed as per the requirements for the site
The submission deadline for tenders is the 25 November 2020 with the evaluation and final decision to be made by 2 December 2020.
