The project VR4REHAB has begun a new phase focussed on the development of the VR-technology concepts emerged in the five hackathons: the Game Jams.
The next event, the "Preparation of the UK Game Jam", will take place at the Teesside University - Darlington campus (UK) on January 15 and 16, 2019. It will be focussed on two clinical themes and their respective challenges:
- Pain management - the teams are asked to create something to help people understand how they can live with pain;
- Engagement and immersion - the groups will design platforms and games to promote treatment adherence.
During the "Preparation of the UK Game Jam", the teams will have the possibility to find support for the prototyping phase.
On the first day, January 15, the groups will face with topics concerning intellectual property and opportunities for external funding for innovation as well as research. On the second day, January 16, the focus will be on the analysis of the technical support needed by the teams and business planning.
