As Interreg NWE is designing a new programme which will run from 2021 to 2027, all interested stakeholders at EU, national, regional and local level are invited to share their feedback on the thematic orientations preselected by Member States at this stage of the process.

NWE networking events

Save the date(s)!
Spring is the time of plans and projects! Interreg North-West Europe is organising two online networking events in May and June. In an innovative and interactive format, these two events will be a unique opportunity to:
  • Learn more about the impact of NWE projects
  • Network with other stakeholders working in your field
  • Know more about the future NWE programme
Thursday 20 May – focusing on a greener North-West Europe

Tuesday 22 June – focusing on an innovative and inclusive NWE

NWE looking ahead


Interreg NWE has formally started the process aimed at designing a new programme. An Interreg NWE task force (NTF) made of delegations from each country involved in the future NWE Programme was launched at the end of 2019. Although negotiations are still on-going, the current situation already gives an indication on the thematic orientations and territory to be covered in the next seven years.

37 proposals received in the second call for capitalisation!

 
The NWE Programme is delighted to announce that our second call for capitalisation received the impressive amount of 37 applications! The Joint Secretariat is currently assessing them and the Monitoring Committee will take the approval decisions on 24 March.

Cooperation: a key enabler for water management in NWE

 
With a growing demand on water resources, innovative technology can play an important role in creating a space for using water resources more efficiently and effectively, reducing waste, lowering energy usage and recovering useful materials. Ruth McNeil from Scottish Water Horizons Limited (UK), Lead Partner of the Water Test Network (WTN), presents her view on innovation in the water sector and how the project supports SMEs in testing, demonstrating and developing new products for the industry.

Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) is a European Territorial Cooperation Programme funded by the European Commission with the ambition to make the North-West Europe area a key economic player and an attractive place to work and live, with high levels of innovation, sustainability and cohesion. It invests EUR 370 million of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in activities based on the cooperation of organisations from eight countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
