Interreg North-West Europe is proud to be among this year’s European Week of Regions and Cities’ partners under the Cohesion thematic cluster. Our Programme, which in the last months has been working on designing its shape for the 2021-2027 funding period, will host an interactive information session: “Promoting a green, smart and just transition in North-West Europe” (session code: 13INFO21539) on Wednesday 13 October, from 09:30 to 10:30 CET.

The Cohesion legislation ruling Interreg 2021-2027 enters into force

 
The Cohesion policy legislative package 2021-2027 of €373 billion entered officially into force on 1 July 2021. Interreg is bound by this regulation, which provides a framework for the implementation of joint actions and policy exchanges between national, regional and local actors.

European Cooperation Day 2021

The European Cooperation Day is celebrated on 21 September every year and aims at reminding citizens that when we join forces, there are benefits for them!

Stories of cooperation for a greener Europe

The NWE Programme has teamed up with Interact and its Interreg transnational counterparts to produce a series of successful project stories throughout 2021. The initiative aims at showcasing the active role of Interreg programmes and projects in implementing the EU Green Deal agenda.

NWE networking events

Recordings available!
Interreg North-West Europe organised two online networking events in May and June. These webinars were unique opportunities to learn more about the impact of NWE projects, network with other stakeholders and get informed about the future NWE programme. The presentations and recordings of all sessions are available on the Programme website.

Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) is a European Territorial Cooperation Programme funded by the European Commission with the ambition to make the North-West Europe area a key economic player and an attractive place to work and live, with high levels of innovation, sustainability and cohesion. It invests EUR 370 million of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in activities based on the cooperation of organisations from eight countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
