Experience
The increasing trend towards application of high strength steels, where the temperature effect is larger due to higher contact pressures during forming, led to the involvement of Tata Steel in this project. Tata Steel will have a major role in WP T.1 - Tribological modeling and simulations, and will use knowledge on the tribological behaviour developed in ASPECT to improve its support for automotive customers, as well as to reduce the lead-time for the development of new steel grade materials.
