Experience

The mission of Mijnwater is the “initiating, stimulating, & implementing of renewable energy facilities to be used for the heating & cooling of buildings”. It was established to serve public interests, e.g. to facilitate energy transition, to reduce GHG emissions, & to promote sustainable heating & cooling in the city of Heerlen & the wider Parkstad Limburg region. It pioneered 5GDHC during the development of a low-energy DHC system that harvests geothermal energy from old mineshafts.
