As a french regional authority, CVL is in charge of policies like regional planning&infrastructures, economic development, ESIF management, professional&vocational training etc. CVL is in particular responsible for construction, maintenance and organisation of post primary schools. It also leads ambitious energy policies with objectives going beyond the Paris Agreement. Since 2004, it took actively part to the EU Display® campaign and sign one the first Energy Performance Contract for 20 schools
