Experience
The research of the Polymer Chemistry & Biomaterials Group (PBM, UGent) focusses on functional polymers for biomedical applications, biomaterials, e.g. biocompatible coatings, advanced drug/gene delivery systems, scaffolds for tissue engineering. PBM has already been involved in a number of international (Biocare, DERMA) projects which are relevant for the present project as they also dealt with polymer-based medical devices. In addition, PBM coordinated the EUFP6 project PolExGene.
