Based on existing skills and capability, OGE is responsible for the smart grid, essential to integrate multiple renewable energy sources to a high efficiency Li-Ion battery storage unit(s) that is then capable of interfacing to the local micro-grid network. This system is the heart of the hybrid unit as it monitors and manages power storage and demand as well as interaction with any (bio-fuel) power generation embedded in the system in order to ensure maximum overall efficiency.
