BM is a public authority gathering 210,000 inhabitants in a 400,000 inhabitant employment area. BM has a strategic role in terms of planning and contracting, especially through different planning and territorial policies such as the Urban Local Plan, but also through operational competencies such as housing policy, community services management, supply of electricity and gas, management of urban heating networks, environmental protection and contribution to energy transition.
