Experience

The University and Department will use its integrated soil & rock mechanics/environmental chemistry/microbiology laboratory facilities to provide mechanical and geo-environmental characterisation of waterway sediments to allow for safe and effective reuse. This will follow-up the results of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with Scottish Canals, translating Suricate’s results to canal sediments as part of Scotland’s transition to a Circular Economy.
