The Institute for steel and timber construction has longstanding experiences in the field of innovation and application of innovative wood based composites like reinforced moulded wooden tubes. It holds several patents in this technology and disposes of a rich industrial network. The Institute has suitable laboratory facilities and have a great deal of record of analytical and numerical simulations too especially for non-metallic fasteners in elastic orthotropic plates.
